Max Kochetov
Foolin' Myself

A.MA Records first release of 2026 features the new album of the Ukrainian  Saxophonist        Max Kochetov with his new quartet.
Foolin' Myself is Max's 2nd album release on A.MA Records and comes as a remarkable follow up to his 2022 album, Altered Feelings and a new chapter to add to the Serbian wave Series.                                                              With all compositions by Max Kochetov and featuring his sublime Soprano sax stylings the quartet also features Pianist Katerina Kochetova, whose innovative “Beyond Motion” was released by A.MA in 2024, Hugo Lof on Double Bass and the exciting new talent of drummer Milos Grbatinic. The core four of the Quartet are then joined by guest artists on each track to make up the 4 members and these include Trombonist Samuel Blaser, Fabrizio Bosso on Trumpet, Alex Sipiagin on Flugelhorn and Ivan Radiovejic (whose 2022 album “In Plain View” was also released on A.MA) on Trumpet. Foolin' Myself is a tracklist of stories and Max credits all of the above for helping him to tell those stories authentically.                                         The music of “Foolin’ Mysef” truly encapsulate Max's ethos of striving towards the modern whilst simultaneously going to his Jazz roots to find answers in music inspired by his daily interactions with the world.
Foolin' Myself is a must for Jazz efficianados and is released on digital and on CD on Friday the 30th of January and is available on A.MA Records A.MA Edizioni  Bandcamp page
