Formed in 2015 by bassist Milos Bosnic, Bosque Sound Community brings together the cream of Belgrade's collective of Jazz musicians with the ethos of creating original music. 12 Angry Mushrooms is the latest release on Italian label A.MA Records as part of its Serbian Wave series of albums. Comprising of five tracks, all wriiten by Milos himself, the album features Stevan Milijanovic on keys, Aleksa Milijanovic on drums, percussionist Aleksander Radulovic, Aleksandar Petkovic on soprano sax and the sublime artistry of flautist Milena Jancuric. With all the above artists coming together at the top of their respective games 12 Angry Mushrooms is an album of superbly crafted music and this no more evident than in the opening track and lead release, the 15 minute opus that is San Francisco Waltz. A stunning piece of Jazz-Fusion that will delight fans of Chick Corea, Jaco Pastorious, Weather Report and Wayne Shorter, San Francisco Waltz offers the listener a tour through a musical labrynth as it builds from its keys, drums, bass and soprano sax beginnings to be joined by amazing percussion breaks and flute solos. With such a strong opening track the rest of the album then scales greater heights as it goes on through to the laconic brilliance of the two part title track via the calming effect of Please One For Goodbye and the heavily percussive Arsen D. 12 Angry Mushrooms is a must have album that further cements A.MA Records as a go to Jazz label and Belgrade as a city that has Jazz coarsing from its core.
