DIL Trio

D.I.L. Organ Trio was founded in 2020 in Belgrade, Serbia.
This band consists of long-time friends and colleagues: Dušan Petrović (guitar),

Irina Pavlović (Hammond organ), and Luka Jovičić (drums).

Their "Hammonday" debut album is the first album of jazz music history in Serbia, that was recorded on a real Hammond C3 organ in hard-bop genre.

Irina and Dusan were studying together at the "Musik und Kunst Privatuniversitat der Stadt Wien" in Vienna, Austria. After returning back to Belgrade, they founded a band with Luka quite spontaneously, looking for their own sound and musical ideas, inspired by the hard-bop era, but also the spirit of the Balkans, where their roots comes from.

All original compositions were created specifically for this band, from 2020 to the present day.

Irina Pavlović was born in Belgrade in 1992.

She received her high school music education at the "Stanković" music school in Belgrade, under the direction of prof. Miloš Krstić. In 2011 Irina moves to Vienna, where she graduated in jazz piano in 2016, and received her master's degree in 2018. studying with prof. Oliver Kent, at the "Musik und KunstPrivatuniversitat der Stadt Wien" University in Vienna.

Irina has written around forty compositions, and since 2014. she has also been a member of the "AKM" composer’s unity in Vienna.

Since 2019, she has been employed as a jazz piano professor at the music high school "Josif Marinković" in Vršac.

Irina’s debut album “The Soulful Heritage” was published in November 2023 by A.MA Records

Dušan Petrović was born in Smederevo in 1984.
After finishing high school in Smederevo, he went to Vienna, Austria, where he studied guitar at

the Vienna Conservatory, in the class of professor Christian Havel.

In 2014, he achieved the title of Academic Musician, graduated jazz guitar - at the jazz department in the class of Professor Claus Spechtl, Musik und Kunst Privatuniversitat der Stadt Wien, Vienna, Austria.

In 2020, he is completing his master's degree in guitar in the class of professor Vanja Kevresan, at the Faculty of Music and Arts, Belgrade

He collaborated with well-known musicians from the Austrian-Serbian jazz scene, including:

Raimund Achinger, Anton Muhlhoffer, Christian Havel, Claus Spechtl, Vladimir Novicic, Nikola Stanosevic, Dusan Milenkovic, Stefan Markovic, Sergej Bockov, Vladimir Kostadinovic, etc.

Since 2018, he has been employed as a jazz guitar professor at the music high school "Josif Marinković" in Vršac.

Luka Jovičić, born in Belgrade in 1984, after graduating from the "Nada Dimić" high school of economics in Zemun, enrolled in the "Stanković" high school for music, in the class of professor Dušan Ivanišević.

During that period, he actively performed with local Belgrade’s music bands.

Also, participated in numerous workshops, among which the workshop in Grožnjan with professor Howard Curtis stands out. He enrolled in the Academy of Music in Belgrade, Department of Popular Music, in the class of professor Miroslav Karlović in 2012, where he completed his bachelor studies in 2016, and his master's studies in 2017.

Since 2013, he has been employed as a professor of jazz drums at the music high school "Josif Marinković" in Vršac.

He actively performs in Belgrade jazz clubs, cooperates with the National Orchestra of RTS, and is an occasional collaborator of the Terazije Theater Orchestra.
