The trio presents a repertoire that ranges from original Montrone songs to finely selected standards. The sound is vigorous and powerful and is in line with a strongly African-American heritage. The trio is enriched thanks to the presence of two special guests: the explosive American saxophonist Sarah Hanahan and the velvety voice of Serena Grittani. With a skillful combination of bold improvisations, impeccable swing and an exceptional command of language, "Unaware Beauty" stands out as a work that embodies the quintessence of contemporary jazz.
