This album exemplifies the Bosque Sound Community combo's tireless innovation in the fields of jazz, funk, samba and cosmic music perhaps more than any other groundbreaking record. Warm and incredibly well thought out in both rhythm, song selection and musicianship, 12 Angry Mushrooms marks the band's maturation, embracing numerous mixing and recording techniques with Azymuth and George Duke in their thoughts and jazzy 'rooms'. Formed in 2015 by bassist Milos Bosnic, Bosque Sound Community brings together the cream of the Belgrade jazz collective. Consisting of five tracks (the excellent San Francisco Waltz and Arsen D.) all written by Milos himself, the CD features Stevan Milijanovic on keyboards, Aleksa Milijanovic on drums, percussionist Aleksander Radulovic, Aleksandar Petkovic on soprano sax, the sublime flutist Milena Jancuric and further consolidates A.MA Records as an approach to jazz in the footsteps of Far Out Recordings, with explorations into the sonic underground. The enormous variety on display testifies to the wide range of influences and experiences Bosnic has accumulated and absorbed in his career to date.
