Wednesday December 4th 2024 Ivan Radivojevic Quartet LIVE at Studio 6 - Radio Belgrade -
On Wednesday, December 4, in Studio 6 of Radio Belgrade, the Ivan Radivojević Quartet will hold a concert that will be broadcast live on the waves of the III program of Radio Belgrade, at 20:30 in the show "Jazz". Trumpeter Ivan Radivojević is one of the most talented local jazz musicians of the younger and middle generation. Although he is in his early thirties, he has been present on the Belgrade jazz scene for a long time, both through club performances, as well as through author's work, and performances in lineups of other local jazz authors. He made his discographic debut in 2022 with the album "In Plain View" published by the Italian A.M.A. Records, the most agile publisher of Serbian original jazz in recent years. In a line-up with pianist Andrija Hristić, double bassist Boris Sainovic and drummer Bogdan Đurđević, and guest saxophonist Luka Ignjatovic and guitarist Andreja Stanković, Radivojević presented his vision of contemporary jazz on this album, which flirts equally with American and Scandinavian approaches to composition and improvisation. Svirački relies on role models such as Matthias Eik and Ambrose Akinmusire, combining a melodic approach to themes and agile improvisations, i.e. interactions within the ensemble. The high technical competence of the quartet works in the context of the compositions, and the confidence of the players successfully builds on recognizable influences in the context of current jazz today. At the concert in Studio 6, Ivan Radivojević's quartet will premiere new compositions from the upcoming album, which will be recorded in the studio next year, along with tracks from their debut release. Entrance to the concert is free, and the number of seats in the studio is limited. Applications are mandatory, via the e-mail address muzicka3p@rts.rs.
