Bastian Menz Trio

Bastian Menz is a jazz drummer and composer based in Berlin. His musical journey spans various genres and countries, marked by notable achievements and collaborations. Career highlights include the 2024 Basti Menz Trio tour and album recording with acclaimed bassist Reuben Rogers. He was also nominated for Best Jazz Album of the Year in Latvia for his contribution as a drummer on the album Integration, and regularly performs at prestigious venues such as Elbjazz and B-Flat. A graduate of the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, Bastian completed his Bachelor's degree in 2021 and has since been actively composing and performing. His debut album Seasons, released in 2023 on Unit Records, showcases his talents as both a drummer and a composer. The album has garnered over half a million listeners online. Bastian has also studied under jazz legends Greg Hutchinson and Carl Allen, further refining his craft. Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades, including the Mixed Generations Award and a DAAD Scholarship. He has participated in various international music programs, including an exchange semester in the Dominican Republic. His musical collaborations include performances with renowned artists such as Reuben Rogers, Charlie Porter, Lutz Krajenski, and Nils Landgren, among others.
